The advantage of VEM 's resources is that materials can be presented at any level
with a minimum of preparation. The teaching experience of the producers and of
colleagues has shown that the best class response comes when teachers combine
the extensive notes provided with each DVD, with their own experiences, to engage directly with the students in the classroom.
Oral presentations in French in each unit of the Sights and Sounds of France
series, for example, now also includes native speakers discussing a specific topic.

A CD-ROM with each DVD production provides a range of materials such as full
transcriptions, bilingual vocabulary, notes, slide presentations, puzzles and
activities based on the spoken interviews, along with general notes on the purely
visual footage.
A large selection of high quality photographic material to accompany our DVD/CD-ROM
resources is continuously being added to our catalogue.
Collaboration with teaching colleagues is an important part of our philosophy and has
been behind our recent productions: La Maison, a set of 26 Les Magasins
Flashcards and a set of 25 Flashcards to accompany the Sights and Sounds of Paris
series. More recently we have produced a large selection of A3 laminated coloured
photos/posters of France, Spain and Japan.
